The Lubbock City Council has agreed to sell some water from Lake Alan Henry to a South Plains town.
The contract allows Lubbock to sell about 97.5 million gallons annually to people in Justiceburg and landowners immediately surrounding the lake. Under the contract, Lubbock would receive an estimated $180,000 dollars annually.
The Lake Alan Henry Water District must still approve the contract.
