Rain and thunderstorm chances are on the increase today with the best chance of rain on the South Plains tonight through Tuesday morning.

Right now the outlook for severe weather is encouraging – the threat is very low and likely would be limited to isolated, mostly wind, events. That said, the outlook for locally heavy rainfall is also encouraging – the potential is high for some areas to see soaking rains.

Rain chances will decrease while high temperatures climb to near average late in the week and through the weekend.
