LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Bill Dumbauld, husband of Lubbock's City Manager Lee Ann Dumbauld, has died after a long illness.  Mayor Glen Robertson says Ms. Dumbauld is handling it about as well as could be expected under the circumstances.  The Mayor also says Dumbauld is expected to be away from work for at least a week.

Former City Councilman Paul R. Beane says Bill Dumbauld was "always in a good mood," and an all-around good guy.
