South Lubbock accident sends motorcyclist to hospital

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

An accident in south Lubbock sent one motorcyclist to the hospital on Friday night.

The accident happened at the intersection of 82nd and Winston around 10:15 p.m.

Police say the motorcyclist was headed west on 82nd when a Tahoe stopped at a stop sign on Winston pulled out in front of him.

The motorcyclists slammed into the side of the Tahoe and was transported to the hospital.

Police say he was not wearing a helmet, but his injuries are not life threatening.

The driver of the Tahoe was given a ticket for failing to yield the right of way.
