LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Jason Young, a US Olympian competing in the discus, signed autographs at Zach's Gym - owned by former Red Raider and Dallas Cowboy linebacker Zach Thomas - in exchange for donations to help get his wife and newborn son to London for the Olympic games.

The former Red Raider says he's close to his goal, but still needs help to have air fare and housing accommodations for his family.

"The fundraising has gone well," said Young. "I think with the inclusion of this weekend we'll make. Coming into this weekend, we're just about $1,000 short."

If you would like to donate towards Young's family travel expenses, you can email him at Jason@fitbyjasonyoung.com.
