A Lubbock area Postal Service employee was indicted last week for theft of mail in both Lubbock and Hockley Counties between October 2011 and February 2012. He faces a total of five felony counts.
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
A Post Office employee from Lubbock denies stealing items out of the mail. Grant Demose Fisher pleaded not guilty on Friday to three counts of Theft of Mail by a Postal Employee and two counts of Obstruction of Mail by a Postal Employee. A federal magistrate set Fisher's trial date as August 13. He is allowed to remain free on bond while awaiting trial.
In a June indictment, Fisher is accused of stealing four GameFly video games, medication, jewelry, and a Netflix movie from packages in the mail. The indictment says Fisher committed the thefts in both Lubbock and Hockley Counties between October 2011 and February 2012.
