Lubbock Fire Department and EMS crews responded to a report of an industrial accident Tuesday afternoon at the Lubbock Wastewater Treatment Plant on the 3600 block of Guava Avenue.
Police say four subcontractors were working on scaffolding when something caused it to give way, and all four men fell into a 35-foot pit.
One person was rescued immediately and hospitalized. Police say the other three workers were also rescued and no one suffered life threatening injuries.
