Just looking at Rylee, you'd never know she has type-one diabetes, and wears an insulin pump attached to her tummy. In an effort to combine fashion and function, her mother, Corrie Stark came up with a tank top line called Rylee's Pocket.
Rylee's Pocket is designed for kids and women who wear insulin pumps. They can be worn as an undershirt.
Stark said, "I wanted her to be able to play soccer, and jump, and hula hoop, and bike without worrying about it falling off because if it falls off. It can essentially pull that part out."
So, after a disappointing diagnosis a year and a half ago, Rylee's family is now selling the tank tops. They are hoping to raise enough to be able to provide the shirts to patients who go to diabetes camps. Rylee's Pocket tank tops cost $20 dollars, and are available online at www.ryleespocket.com.
