Dennis and Sue Ann Harrison both graduated from Denver City High School, they were married in 1950 and 1956 they began Harrison Well Company. But that is only part of the story.
Sue Ann initially came out in 1946 and she hated it.
"I thought Daddy brought us to the end of the world. The sand just blew and blew. I hated it for two weeks, and I've loved it ever since."
They had three children, all of whom graduated from Denver City High School, and their seven grandchildren also attended and graduated. They have established a mini legacy in Denver City and it is all thanks to Dennis's hard work.
His job was to service and maintain oil wells in the area and sometimes he had to work 24 hour shifts. He was an excellent boss, providing food and beverages for his crew often.
Even though it was hard work Dennis loved every second of it, and it almost brought tears to his eyes to talk about those days.
Sue Ann and Dennis are now retired and serve on many local boards, but their favorite thing to do is spend time with one another.
