From Texas Department of Transportation:
Overnight rain has delayed the opening of the eastbound
South Loop 289 main lanes at Slide Road bridge. The roadway was reduced to
one-lane of traffic to allow work crews to make overnight repairs to the
structure's bridge joints.
Traffic on the eastbound S. Loop main lanes will remain
one-lane until the repairs can be completed. Crews have also closed the
eastbound Spur 327 on-ramp to the Loop main lanes to ease traffic congestion on
the Loop. Eastbound Spur 327 traffic will need to take the frontage road to
connect with the Loop main lanes.
Work on the Slide Road bridge is part of a $475,000
bridge preventative maintenance project to make repairs to the bridge decks,
joints and rails on several Lubbock are roadway structures.
