Gaines County authorities issue Capital Murder warrant

GAINES COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

Authorities in Gaines County have issued a Capital Murder warrant for the arrest of Desirae Mata, 25, of Hobbs, NM, in connection with the double homicide that was committed in Gaines County on May 10.

The Gaines County Crime Line is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of Desirae Mata. If you have information on the whereabouts of Desirae Mata, you may contact any of the following agencies:

Callers may remain anonymous.

Jay Bradley Doyal, 29, and John Allen, 30, of Gaines County were pronounced dead from gunshot wounds on Friday, May 11th. They were found at a home near the intersection of CR 347 and CR 306.

Authorities have already arrested Bobby Ray Ruiz, 25, in connection with this case. Ruiz was arrested by Hobbs Police Department detectives shortly after the warrant was issued on July 26.

Judge Clark also issued a warrant for the arrest of Juan Castillo, 32, for the offense of Capital Murder.

Castillo is currently incarcerated in the Lea County detention facility on unrelated charges.

Officers are continuing their investigation.
