We know prostate cancer becomes more common as a man grows older. So, it might be somewhat encouraging to hear that it is not usually the cause of death in men who were diagnosed with the disease. Harvard has just published this study in the journal of the National Cancer Institute after studying the cause of death in more than a half million men. Researchers found that prostate cancer was blamed in less than a third of the cases. Instead, those patients were more likely to die from heart disease. According to the study, that means they could have avoided a premature death by following a healthy diet.
