People with heart failure can improve their mood with a little exercise. Researchers at Duke University Medical Center studied nearly 2,000 heart failure patients. Half of the patients were given an exercise routine to follow, and the other half were treated with standard care. They found those who exercised reported fewer symptoms of depression. The more they followed the exercise program, the more the depression tumbled. The study is in the journal of the American Medical Association.
