Heat advisory issued for eastern South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

This afternoon will be sunny with a light SSW wind, and it's going to be a scorcher at about 102°. Lubbock's record high for this date is 106° in 1966.

A heat advisory is in effect through Friday evening for the eastern KCBD viewing area.
