Bank Robbery Suspect Caught in Abilene

33-year-old Oscar Costilla Ibarra is strongly suspected for robbing two banks in Lubbock. The City Bank at 50th & Indiana on April 8th and the American State Bank inside Albertson's at 50th & Indiana May 5th.

Police caught Ibarra while he and another man were trying to rob the American State Bank in Abilene. And just one day later, investigators released information saying Ibarra and the other suspect may be involved with a string of bank robberies in West Texas, including Abilene, Big Spring and Lubbock. It also has been reported Ibarra and the other suspect committed several bank robberies in their hometown of Odessa.

Abilene investigators are working with the FBI and local law enforcement agencies in a combined effort to solve these bank robberies.
