Former Texas Tech runner Sally Kipyego took home silver for her native country Kenya in the women's 10,000 meter run Friday.
Kipyego ran a personal record time of 30:26.37, beating out fellow Kenyan Vivian Cheruiyot, who took home the bronze medal. Ethiopia's Vivian Cheruiyot won the gold by coming from behind Kipyego before the last lap, besting the former Red Raider by less than six seconds.
