21st Annual Children's Miracle Network Begins Saturday

"A total of $644,718. West Texas is the greatest place to live, this is the most wonderful community, thank you for making miracles happen again!" said Karin McCay at the end of last year's CMN Telethon.

Each year, thanks to the generosity of the people across the South Plains and Eastern New Mexico, miracles happen. Now it's that time again. The time for the phones to start ringing, and the pledges to start rolling in all for the children.

Take a look at this years miracle stories all made possible by the children's hospital at University Medical Center.

"The Children's Miracle Network celebration broadcast is very important for our overall campaign year. It's a great chance for us to celebrate all the hard work that our local and national sponsors have done to help us help the kids throughout the year and it's a great time for us to highlight our stories on air for the people of the South Plains and in Eastern New Mexico to see the kids that we help here everyday at UMC Children's Hospital," says CMN Development Director Britt Pharris.

All of the money goes toward helping children, whether it's through new equipment, technology or special services. "100% of the money stays locally. It's here to purchase new medical technology and equipment and to provide funding for the programs and services at UMC Children's Hospital and at the affiliated clinics that we offer services throughout the community." says Pharris.

On an annual basis, thirty-thousand kids come through the children's hospital at UMC and thankfully, your CMN donations help make miracles happen everyday.

"We have an exciting new schedule this year. We start at 11a.m. on Saturday and we'll be running through Saturday afternoon and all of Saturday evening. Then, we start after the French Open on Sunday at 1:00 and run until 5:30."

This year's goal is $650,000, so pick up the phone and call (806) 747-KIDS any time this weekend, and help make another miracle come true.
