19th Street towing begins Wednesday for road project

From Texas Department of Transportation:

On Wednesday, August 8, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin work to seal coat a portion of US 62/SH 114 (19th Street), from Memphis Avenue to Avenue X, in the city of Lubbock. Work is part of an ongoing project to make improvements to 19th Street, which includes rebuilding the University and Indiana Avenue intersections.

Motorists can expect lane closures during the operations with 19th Street traffic reduced to two-lanes in each direction. Additionally, motorists will not be able to park along the southern 19th Street curb line while the seal coat operation is in progress and will have intermittent accessibility to driveways.

Vehicles parked along the southern curb during the seal coating operation will be towed.

The work is expected to take 10 days to complete, weather permitting.
