Midland man killed in 4-wheeler accident

From Gaines County Sheriff's Office:

On August 7, 2012 at 3:08 p.m. the Gaines County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in reference to a 4-wheeler accident. The Gaines County Sheriff's Officers, Highway Patrol and EMS were dispatched to meet the reporting party at Wal-Mart. He then led first responders to a Hess lease approximately 4/10 of a mile south of 62-180.

Upon arrival, the victim was discovered to be deceased. The victim was identified as Daniel Sauls 20 years of age, of Midland, Texas. An investigation indicated that Sauls was riding a 4-wheeler and it turned over on him. Sauls coworker reported that they were employed by AAW services out of Midland, TX. They were cleaning up a pipeline right of way and Sauls was working with a weed eater.

The coworker reported that Sauls was last seen between 11:00a.m. and 11:30a.m. The coworker went to check on Sauls at approximately 3:00 p.m. and discovered the accident.

Daniel Sauls was pronounced deceased at the scene by Gaines County Justice of the Peace, Tammy Clark.
