New Book remembering Coach Kenneth Cleveland

If you love West Texas Basketball, then you remember Coach Kenneth Cleveland. Before his passing in 1993, in 32 years at Dimmitt, he led the Bobcats to 27 District Championships, 11 State Tournament Appearances and 3 State Titles.

There's a new book out, "Letters for Coach" that remembers the legacy of Coach Cleveland through the eyes of the plethora of people he touched: players, parents, referees, residents and fans. There's even a letter from Tech Chancellor Kent Hance, who grew up in Dimmitt.

Cleveland's wife Libby compiled all the letters into a moving book. "It's not a book written by a coach on how to coach. It's written by players on how to be coached."

There will be a book release party Sunday August 12th from 2-5pm at the First United Bank in Dimmitt.
