One person was killed in a motorcycle crash
in Scurry County Thursday.
Jimmy Joe Fowler, 49, of Snyder was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Farm Road 1673 at about 9:20 p.m. Thursday when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle skidded into the north ditch, overturning several times.
Fowler was taken to Cogdell Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead at 10:03 p.m. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this crash. The road was dry and the weather was clear.
Fowler did have a motorcycle license but was not wearing a helmet.
