Don't Mess With TX-DOT

TX-DOT is warning people not to mess with its slogan.

The state Department of Transportation has sent 23 cease and desist letters to companies warning against unauthorized use of the "Don't Mess with Texas" slogan.

The phrase was created in 1986 as part of an anti-litter campaign. It's now been put on everything from t-shirts to bumper stickers. So far, no lawsuits have been filed.
