Hale County looking at pricey repairs to county jail

HALE COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

Hale County Commissioners will consider up to $2.1 million in jail renovations on Monday, according to the Plainview Daily Herald.

The Herald quotes a company called IDIQ saying plumbing repairs could cost $1 million. Other urgent issues are roofing, heating & air, and electric wiring.

Remodeling of the kitchen could trigger ADA requirements according to the article, and that would increase the cost significantly.
