The Nurse-Family Partnership at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing's Larry Combest Community Health & Wellness Center, will host, "Bridges out of Poverty, Strategies for Professionals and Communities," with national guest speaker Jodi Pfarr.
The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday (Aug. 20) at the TTUHSC Academic Classroom Building, 3601 4th St., Room 110.
The Combest Center and the Nurse-Family Partnership have brought together more than 15 community partners to discuss strategies for communities and providers to serve families in poverty.
More than 50 participants including counselors, social workers, nurse and early home visitors, community health workers and charity programs have signed on for this training.
