Lubbock is in good shape when it comes to water. That's the conclusion of a year and a half study of the Hub City's resources.
According to consultants, recent conservation efforts are helping Lubbock successfully endure the current drought. Over the long-haul, the city has the security of Lake Alan Henry if needed.
They do recommend however, that during the next five years the city acquire an additional water resource to offset demand as Lubbock grows.
