Walmart briefly evacuated due to gas leak

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

At about 11:30 a.m. Monday morning, the Walmart at Avenue Q and Marsha Sharp was evacuated because of a gas leak. The all-clear was sounded by emergency crews shortly before noon, and employees and shoppers were allowed to return to the building.

First responders say a forklift hit a gas line and the evacuation was a necessary precaution.
