Study shows Lubbock less likely to drop 'f' bomb on Twitter

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

If the social media site twitter.com is a good indicator then Lubbock is consistently the friendliest city in America.  A company called Vertaline conducted a Twitter study of 462 American cities looking for two phrases - "good morning" and … uh … well … kids, cover your eyes & ears … "f*** you."  Sorry for that.

The study was conducted hour-by-hour July 14 through July 24.   Day after day, and almost hour after hour, Lubbock is consistently lit up on Vertaline's map as being the most active for "good morning."

Now as for that other map - you know, the 'f' map - Buffalo, New York is lit more often than other cities with Houston, and Los Angeles also getting some of that unpleasantness.

In the strictest sense, the study is scientific, although some have questioned its value in terms of practical application.
