LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech baseball team has reported to campus while today marked the first day of class for all Texas Tech students. Tech's fall roster consists of 43 players with a total of 33 newcomers.
First-year head coach Tim Tadlock and the Red Raiders will begin the fall with small group activities on Wednesday, Aug. 29, while official team practices are scheduled to start Monday, Sept. 17 at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
The fall season will conclude the final week of October.
The fall roster includes 10 returning players and 33 newcomers, including 19 high school recruits and 14 players from the junior-college ranks.
The 43-player roster will be competing for 35 roster spots which will form the 2013 Red Raiders roster.
