Allstate Insurance said on Wednesday that Lubbock is among the safest cities for drivers. It's a yearly statement from Allstate and it's based on the number of collisions, but not the severity.
Lubbock drivers are 0.6% less likely than the national average to have a collision. Lubbock ranks 61st best in the country and fifth best in Texas. Allstate says Lubbock drivers on average go 10.1 years between collisions.
Amarillo drivers are just barely better, going an average of 10.2 years between crashes. The best in Texas is Brownsville. The worst, according to Allstate, is Garland.
