Interim Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec will host the annual President's Welcome Picnic for Texas Tech students Friday at 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the North Plaza of Student Union Building.
Free hot dogs will be served by Texas Tech administrators.
Formerly dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Schovanec was appointed as interim president before the fall semester. He will serve until a search committee selects a replacement for Guy Bailey, the 15th and former president of Texas Tech.
