Comfort Keepers fighting senior hunger on the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Comfort Keepers of Lubbock is helping to fight senior hunger here on the South Plains.

Friday they partnered with Lubbock Meals on Wheels to kick off their "Stop Senior Hunger" campaign.

All next week they will be collecting food from companies, churches and organizations for the Lubbock Meals on Wheels weekend meal bags.

They're looking for things like individual cereal boxes, cereal bars, juice boxes, soup and pudding cups.

Comfort Keepers is also holding a food drive on September 15th.

From 9 until 6 you can come by the Wal Mart at 82nd and Milwaukee or on South Loop 289 and Quaker to drop off food.
