Lubbock County Commissioners approve tax rate hike

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock County Commissioners approved a tax rate hike Monday morning. The hike will raise taxes about 2 cents per $100 valuation when they adopt the 2013 budget.

Commissioners said the increase was needed to hire more deputies and to give raises to prosecutors in the DA's office.
