BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Real quick, name five famous players in Idaho Vandals' football history. Can you name one? Point made.

The #2 LSU Tigers host those same Vandals this weekend in Death Valley, who aren't exactly a household name in major college football. They're off to an 0-2 start this year and have played before roughly 28,000 fans COMBINED during those contests. However, very recent history has LSU focused on not thinking this will be easy.

"Just look at the Arkansas/Monroe (UL-Monroe) game," says LSU junior quarterback Zach Mettenberger, "At any point if you relax in a game, you can get beat by a lesser opponent. They're going to come in here with a chip on their shoulder looking to beat us. And we're going to do everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen."

Those UL-Monroe Warhawks indeed shocked the world and those #8 Arkansas Razorbacks Saturday night in Little Rock, rallying from a 28-7 third quarter deficit to win 34-31 in overtime. It was the first time in the history of the Sunbelt Conference one of the league's members beat a top 10 opponent. The Tigers certainly aren't interested in following the Razorbacks' lead.

"It's that respect you have to have for every opponent," adds LSU sixth-year senior Josh Dworaczyk, "It doesn't matter whatever conference they came from. That piece of humble pie doesn't taste good. And we don't want to take a bite of that."

Idaho opened their year with a 20-3 loss to Eastern Washington at home, before dropping a 21-13 decision at Bowling Green.

"Idaho comes in and they are a good football team. They are a team that is historically used to winning in their level," says head coach Les Miles, "Looking at this year, they lose to Eastern Washington, who was the national champions two years ago. They play Bowling Green who played Florida off of their feet. We need to be ready to play. We need to have the same intensity that we have every time we play in Tiger Stadium. In fact, if we are going to improve, this football team needs to take some of those strides this week against this opponent. We have respect for our opponent, and I believe that this team is good enough. If we play like we play and bring the intensity that we need to bring, we will accomplish what we need to accomplish this Saturday night in Tiger Stadium."
