LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
The South Plains chapter of the American Red Cross hosted its Fifth Annual Champions Breakfast at Aerocare Tuesday morning.
The event honors residents of the South Plains who have saved a life by intervening in a life-threatening situation.
The breakfast is held in September to recognize National Disaster Preparedness Month and to honor the heroism of so many following the attacks of September 11, 2001.
