We all remember where we were on September 11th, 2001. When the first plane hit, I was in my car on my way to work. When the second plane hit, I was watching it unfold in the TV station.
Eleven years ago, 19 terrorists hijacked four passenger planes and used them as bombs to kill Americans. Nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives that morning.
Since then, the media has been criticized for repeatedly showing this video of the planes flying into the twin towers, and slowly the pictures disapeared from the airwaves. Now, on each anniversary you might see some footage tightly edited as to not offend.
As the years pass, it becomes even more important that we're reminded by these images what happened….more than once a year.
Our children and grandchildren need to be taught about what that day means, and what America did in response. We all need to be reminded that there are people that hate our country, hate our freedom, and would stop at nothing to destroy it.
So let us fly our flags, teach our children, and show our patriotism. We should *Forever* honor the victims and show their families that we will never forget.
