LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Dozens of KCBD staffers and community volunteers started bright and early Wednesday morning to raise money for South Plains Honor Flights. The honor flight is a very special effort by a handful of volunteers to honor those heroes who have served in the military.
Basically, a group of caring patriots are working to raise money to send U.S. military veterans from the South Plains to our nation's capitol. The honor flight is all-expense paid trip, to give veterans the chance to view memorials built around the capitol in their honor.
The phone lines closed at 6:45p.m. on Wednesday evening, the total amount of money raised was: $204,894.
