LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Lubbock property owners are about to start paying a little extra on their city taxes.
During Thursday's meeting, the Lubbock City Council voted to approve a proposal to raise taxes by about $18 a year for the average home.
Mayor Glen Robertson says the increase is needed for projects that were approved by voters in a November 2009 bond election.
