From LSU Sports

LSU and Auburn face each other for the 47th time with LSU holding a 25-20-1 lead in the series. The teams have met every year since the SEC expansion in 1992 (20 games) with each team winning 10 times during that span.

Prior to 1992, the teams played only eight times from 1969 to 1989.

The home team has won 11 of the last 12 games in the series with the exception coming in 2008 when LSU won at Auburn, 26-21.

Last year, LSU posted a 45-10 win in Tiger Stadium. The 35-point victory last year by LSU marked the largest margin of victory in the series for either team.

Auburn won the last meeting between the teams at Jordan-Hare Stadium, 24-17.

Between 1996-99, the visiting team won each game. Six of last eight games have been decided by a touchdown or less.

The winner of the LSU-Auburn game has gone on to win the SEC Western Division eight of the last 12 years (exceptions came in 2002, 2006, 2008, 2009).

In games between 1988 and 1997, the contest was decided by a touchdown or less seven of eight times. Auburn holds a 10-6 advantage in games played at Auburn.

LSU coach Les Miles is 5-2 vs. Auburn, which includes a 4-0 mark in Tiger Stadium and a 1-2 record at Jordan-Hare. Miles' only win at Jordan-Hare Stadium came in 2008 by a 26-21 count.
