Lubbock County Constable involved in wreck

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock County constable and motorcyclist were taken to the hospital after colliding Tuesday evening.  

Authorities say the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. near South Loop 289 and Interstate 27 on an access road.  

Lubbock Police say a constable's car from precinct 2 and a motorcycle were involved. We did some checking, and the constable in precinct 2 is Joe Pinson. Authorities say he suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.  he motorcyclist suffered serious injuries. However, we are told the motorcycle rider's injuries are believed to not be life-threatening.

Authorities are still investigating the wreck.
