Cleanup begins in the Texas Panhandle after a severe thunderstorm damaged several areas Monday night.
70 mph winds, heavy rain, and baseball size hail pounded the area. Huge balls of ice bounced off the ground and crashed through windows. Dozens of windows at one hospital in Amarillo were destroyed. Flying glass hurt one patient, and nearly 100 others had to be moved to different rooms because of the damage.
New car lots also suffered greatly as a result of the storm. Storm chasers spotted some funnel clouds in the area Monday night, and forecasters predict more storms could develop Tuesday.
