Isolated storms brought sprinkles to the Lubbock area, with the airport
reporting a trace of rain. There were four reports of measurable rain late
yesterday and overnight in the KCBD viewing area: Knox City 0.01", Floydada
0.03", Snyder 0.04", and Paducah 0.37".
Thunderstorms will become more
numerous late today, though significant rainfall will be spotty. The Storm
Prediction Center is forecasting a slight risk of severe thunderstorms over the
northeastern viewing area, with large hail and gusty winds the main threats. The
remainder of the area will be subject to thunderstorms with brief moderate to
heavy rain and strong gusts.
Rain chances pick up tomorrow and again on
Friday. Over the next three days there is a good chance of measurable rain
across the viewing area. Additionally, some of the rain will be moderate to
heavy. You'll find more on our Weather page at kcbd.com/weather. As new data
becomes available I will update our Weather page forecast later this
morning.
