A death row inmate was in Lubbock Federal Court Wednesday, trying to get his sentenced commuted to life in prison. The hearing was to determine if investigators made any errors during their testimony in Joe Lee Guy's trial.
Guy was sentenced to death for the slaying of a Plainview man in a 1993 robbery and murder, however a petition claims he was an unarmed lookout. Meanwhile, Governor Rick Perry's office says it's still reviewing a recommendation to commute Guy's sentence by the State Board of Pardons and Paroles.
