LPD Issues Warning About False Deposit Boxes

A warning from Lubbock Police about false deposit boxes at local banks.

Last Thursday, officers say someone placed a false deposit box at the American State Bank at 5102 82nd Street. The box was left around 8:30 that night and picked up early the next morning.

Police want you to be on the lookout for any suspicious looking deposit boxes. If you have any information about the American State Bank incident, call the Lubbock Police Property Crimes Division at 775-2769.
