City Asks You To Halt Aggressive Driving This Summer

It's summer time which means there are more kids out in the neighborhoods, riding their bikes.

One local group wants you to 'slow down'. Kids are learning how to be cautious riders at the Safety City Summer Camp. But the Halt Aggressive Driving Program wants drivers to use precaution as well, keeping their eyes out for kids on their bikes in the streets.

"Watch out, slow down, don't drive agressively around bicycles and pedestrians. Give them some safety room," said Jere Hart, Director of Halt Aggressive Driving.

Since Safety City opened in 1993, the police department has seen an 18% decrease in pedestrian and bicycle accidents.
