LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Police tells us a pregnant woman driving a Chevy Tahoe lost control of her vehicle at 82nd & University on Friday night, rear-ending the car in front of her in the middle lane. This had a domino effect, affecting five more cars.

Authorities say the combination of the woman's excess speed and rainy conditions all contributed to her car losing control.

Five people were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

We have a call out to the hospital to check on the condition of the baby. We'll update this story when we learn more.
