Construction on the Texas Tech Campus will effect parking for United Spirit Arena concerts this summer, including Shania Twain this weekend.
The construction is the problem. The portion of Indiana from 19th to the United Spirit Arena is closed for building of Texas Tech Parkway that means not only can you not enter campus this way, but it also affects a few of the normal parking lots.

Superstar Shania Twain is coming to the United Spirit Arena for the first time and fans are ready. After lining up for tickets months ago, you can bet the spirit arena will be hopping Saturday night. But there are a few parking changes.
"The biggest change is that the three lots on the Southwest corner of 18th and Indiana are closed, those are caught up in the construction of the new Texas Tech Parkway and that's C7, C8, and C9. That people have primarily used for concerts and any other event at the arena," explains Sally Post, Texas Tech University spokesperson.
Due to construction on the Texas Tech Parkway, a portion of Indiana that runs through campus is closed. That means three of the lots that people usually park in for events of this kind are also closed.
Some parking areas are closed temporarily, but tech Officials they have opened all of these other lots between the law school and the Wiggins Complex. And while the Indiana Entrance is closed, you can come on to campus on 18th street, from Brownfield Highway. "There will be police officers and people at the entrances directing people of which way to go," says Sally.

Now one more note, the lots by the campus TV station will also be open, it's just the first three on the Southwest corner that are closed. Now unfortunately this construction project won't wrap up before mid-August, so the parking will be the same for the upcoming Jessica Simpson and Hillary Duff shows.
One more Shania note: doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m June 26th.
