LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Rudy's "Country
Store" and Bar-B-Q is hoping to raise $50,000 this month for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. To
help, they are changing the color of their iconic plastic cups to pink.
Guests
who make a minimum donation of $1 will receive a free 32-ounce drink.
The
company will also donate another dollar for every new Facebook "like"
and Twitter follower they receive.
This is the first time in the
history of Rudy's Bar-B-Q that it has changed the color of its cups to
raise awareness and funds for a charitable organization.
"Breast cancer affects many
lives and we are grateful for Rudy's Bar-B-Q's commitment in raising funds for
our organization," said Janelle Hail, Founder and CEO of the National
Breast Cancer Foundation. "Every dollar donated makes a difference in our
fight against breast cancer."
