I am thrilled to be back in my home state of Texas and joining the KCBD News Channel 11 sports team. I have had a passion for sports since I was a little kid. This passion has taken me all across the country, but there is no place like home!
I was born and raised in the great city of Dallas, Texas. I attended the University of Texas at Tyler and majored in broadcast journalism. During my time at UTT, I interned at KYTX CBS 19 in Tyler, Texas with the sports team and called soccer and basketball games for UTT Radio.
After graduation, I took a job as a photographer/Friday Night Lights reporter with KCEN in Waco, Texas. I then decided to take a chance at the anchor desk and made a huge life decision by leaving Texas for the first time in my life and taking a job as a sports anchor/news reporter at KTVO in Kirksville, Missouri.
I then made the next leap in my life by taking a job a year later at KEZI in Eugene, Oregon as a news reporter. However, I knew my passion and my heart laid under the lights of Friday night back in Texas.
In August of 2012, I received the call to take the job at KCBD NewsChannel 11. It was a blessing for me to come back to Texas and be closer to my family. I cannot wait to meet everyone in the South Plains and get my Guns Up! (Even though I am a Longhorn fan!)
In my spare time I enjoy watching sports, hanging out at the pool, taking trips to the lake, playing some Madden on the Xbox, listening to Texas Country and of course two-steppin'!
I am a diehard fan of the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars and future World Series Champion Texas Rangers!
If you see me on the street don't forget to say hello! I look forward to meeting y'all!
