Consider This...KCBD to document Honor Flight experience

Posted: Updated:

Whether they are active duty, reservists, retired, or veteran's, America's military men and women are a special group deserving of our admiration and thanks.

And dozens of World War Two and Korean War veterans are getting a well deserved honor this week. In fact that's the name of it. The South Plains Honor Flight.

The Honor Flight took off Tuesday morning carrying more than eighty of these American heroes to Washington D.C. to give them an opportunity to see, in person, the memorials built in their honor.

As we speak, our own Karin McCay and A news crew are with them all helping to document the experience.

Consider this:

Help us continue to honor these soldiers. Look for a special Honor Flight series the week of Veteran's Day.

KCBD's award winning journalist Karin McCay will bring you the stories of the veterans that took this historic trip. And these stories promise to be meaningful, emotional and memorable.

More details as we approach Veterans Day in November.

Until then, in the spirit of the Honor Flight, remember to always take time to thank our military men and women every time you see them.
