Lorenzo football coach resigns mid-season

LORENZO, TX (KCBD) -

Lorenzo football coach Todd Burnside resigned Thursday morning. He was 3-2 in his first season with the Hornets. Lorenzo Superintendent Jerrod Pickering tells KCBD NewsChannel 11 that Burnside left to pursue other options.

Felix Martinez will move up and lead Lorenzo the rest of the season. The Hornets, who start District play in 3 weeks, are at Kress on Friday.
